Terms of Service

Jojo Chat gives your website a chat widget, a shared inbox for your team, and an AI assistant that answers your customers using the knowledge base you supply. On paid plans, the AI can also look up a customer’s real order or payment status from a system you connect.

We add and improve features over time. We will not remove something you are paying for without telling you first.

• You must give accurate signup details and keep your email address current — it is how we reach you about your account and your money.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything your staff accounts do.
• Keep your password and your widget secret private. The widget secret lets a site prove a visitor's identity to us; anyone holding it can read your customers' chats.
• You must be old enough to enter a contract, and be authorised to act for the business you register.

New accounts get a 7-day free trial with unlimited AI conversations. No card is required and nothing is charged automatically when it ends. When the trial finishes, the account continues on the free plan unless you choose to subscribe.

Paid plans are prepaid. You fund a wallet balance by bank transfer, and charges are taken from that balance — we never store a payment method or take money without a balance being there first.

• The Pro plan is ₦9,900 per month, which includes 100 AI conversations.
• Beyond the included 100, each further AI conversation costs ₦100, taken from your balance.
• If your balance cannot cover the monthly fee on the renewal date, the plan does not renew and AI replies pause. Your inbox, history and team access are unaffected — your customers simply reach a human instead of the AI.
• You can set a monthly spend cap. Once reached, chats route to your team instead of the AI.

Prices are in Nigerian Naira and exclude any taxes that may apply. If we change prices we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email.

You agree not to use Jojo Chat to:

• Send unsolicited bulk messages, or contact people who have not agreed to hear from you
• Break the law, or help anyone else break it
• Post or transmit malware, or attempt to breach, overload, or probe our systems
• Impersonate someone else, or misrepresent who is answering a customer
• Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement
• Feed the AI content you have no right to use, or use it to generate unlawful, hateful, or deceptive material

We can suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where the breach is not serious, we will contact you first and give you a chance to put it right.

You can switch the AI off entirely in Settings, cap its monthly usage, or take over any conversation yourself at any time.

You keep all rights to your content: your knowledge base, your conversations, and your customers’ data. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you — to store that content, display it back to your team, and send the necessary parts to our AI provider so a reply can be generated.

How that data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

If you hire trained agents from us, they act on your behalf and follow the instructions and knowledge base you give them. You remain responsible for what is said to your customers. We will replace an agent who is not working out; tell us and we will sort it.

We work to keep Jojo Chat available at all times but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may take it down for maintenance, and will give notice where we reasonably can. We are not liable for downtime caused by things outside our control, including your own hosting, network, or the providers we depend on.

You can stop using Jojo Chat whenever you like — simply do not renew. Ask us and we will close your account and delete your data.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or where we are required to by law. If we close your account without cause, we will refund any unused wallet balance.

Jojo Chat is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost sales, or lost data.

Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the Nigerian courts.

To be completed before launch: the contracting legal entity, its RC number, and the state whose courts have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. Questions go to [email protected].
